http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/ ... story.html For those of you who somehow don't know, Chic-Fil-A has positioned itself pretty terribly in the business world after their president took a publicly Anti-Gay stand.
At the time, they were doing a toy promotion with the Jim Henson Muppet company. The Muppets said "f*ck this sh*t" and pulled out.
Lisa Henson, CEO of the company responsible for The Muppets and Sesame Street, said she will instead donate the payment from Chick-Fil-A to the gay-rights group GLAAD.
“The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-Fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavours,” the company wrote on its
Why is it somehow cool to intentionally misspell something for no reason? Like, I get if it's supposedly clever by making a pun, but this is like replacing "s" with "z". There's no point. What does dumbass creative spelling do for you?

Is this you and do you want to come over later and play some call of duty?

I hadn't heard of them before either. But based on their [typical right-wing] president's comments, I'd wager that they didn't know they were misspelling anything.

I'll pass on the CoD, but I will have some fries with that
They only had 4 restaurant in the Boston mass area anyway. By and large the company won't be grossly affected by the negative press, and I think largely will be negated by those who support it stepping up and picking up the temporary slack.
I'll pass on the fries and whatever it is ur pushing.
But all this talk about them will make me stop on my way home! Eat mo chicken
Lol they test a lot of their billboards 'round these parts, I think, since they are based here, and they all vary around the theme above (cows, not hateful trash). Some of them are pretty funny. They are also one of the few places that are closed on Sundays, even for the south, which is pretty irritating for multiple reasons. Their tea is usually better than the average fast food variety, and the chicken is so so. The waffle fries have a small following. And their top brass are bigoted pricks.
And here the intolerants are back out trolling CC with their complete intolerance of any view that opposes theirs. Being against homosexual marriage is still not bigoted, yet that's the only accusation being thrown out there. Chick-Fil-A has always been a business run by Christians, observable by its dedication to customer service and being closed on Sundays, so it shouldn't be surprising to anybody that the Christian CEO would also be against homosexual marriage, much like approximately 60% of the population.

The only one doing the misspelling is Juan. The company is NOT named "Chic-Fil-A".
Bigotry: intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself.
Intolerance: lack of toleration; unwillingness or refusal to tolerate or respect contrary opinions or beliefs, persons of different races or backgrounds, etc.
Pretty open and shut case to be honest. By opposing gay marriage you are being a bigot; sure its only a minor offence as far as the wider area of bigotry is concerned (I for one am glad you arent going out every night and beating the shit out of suspected fags NS), but it is bigotry nonetheless.
Yes this definition pretty makes everyone on CC OT forums a bigot (except for me, Im pretty much an angel) but it is what it is.
Yeah I'm not sure how this is a big surprise to anyone. If muppet co really backed out they clearly didn't know / like what they were signing up for anyway. How a company does so little research on a company to team up w that they didn't know this ahead of time is a poor move on their own part...
Chik-Fil-A has long been a very conservative, religious-promoting business. They're closed on Sundays. Which annoys me a great deal, because I LOVE THEIR WAFFLE FRIES. Don't like much else, but their waffle fries rock.
But this statement by him doesn't surprise me in the slightest. While I dislike his message, at least he has always been very upfront about it, willing to take whatever hits to his business that comes with it.

Uh...what? You're complaining about a lack of tolerance while stating that being against homosexual marriage isn't bigoted?

No, I clearly said "their dedication to customer service". Chick-Fil-A has repeatedly been reviewed as having excellent customer service for a fast food business by its patrons.

Let's run with this. As you've implied, according to those definitions then anyone opposed to fascism or Nazism is also a bigot. They'd be a bigot for good reasons in my opinion, but they'd be a bigot nonetheless.
So, then we'd have argue about who is a "good bigot" and who is a "bad bigot."
Henceforth, all accusations of bigotry should include "good" or "bad" before the word "bigotry/bigot."
Expanding on this; does thinking of something as stupid constitute bigotry? Im not really intolerant of conservatism, you can think whatever you like; however I do personally think it as mildly retarded.
