Hmm, I guess just writing down the whole concept of a vaccine somewhere might come in handy later. Though I wouldn't know how to actually innoculate someone.
Oh, how about glasses? I think they're a big one as they prolongue the working life of the intellectuals.
Basic glasses should be easy enough to manufacture by a glassmaker, but I don't think they had developed clear enough glass back then and I haven't the faintest clue how to do that. bollocks.
Anyway:

I think you're shooting for a bit too much realism here. Let's say you also have a universal translator or some such.
Basically this was just an offshoot of a thought I had @ how little of the last couple hundred years of development I could replicate on my own.

Well, yeah, but me telling them stories about galaxies and the stages of a star doesn't seem like it would have much value, especially since I can in no way substantiate the claims.

Even easier: the scientific method.
Scientific method. Good answer. Didn't think of that.

The preservation, conservation, and pasteurization tips could help though.
So you're angling for the royal chef position? Guess you'll have to get accustomed to more limited ingredients.
The preservation stuff should be good. Guess you could convince them of germ theory as well, that'd come in handy.
