or: The 15th installment of "Woodruff leaves the forums". Now that our great logician has departed us for the shores of the great hall of Valhalla, I think it's only appropriate that we remark one last time on our outed compatriot. I'll start first.
Dear Woodruff, you were not always correct, despite your hardest attempts at condescension and use of Klingon logic/emotional suppression, and for that, you'll be missed.
May the wind always be at your back, and the sun upon your face. And may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Sincerely, your imaginary friend, Whitestazn88
(granted, there's no point in me pretending to say goodbye to myself. i just got tired of doing two personas. can an admin just delete that account for me?)

sucks that what finally caused woody to leave was a poster who was even more of a douchebag than he was. i'd go back to the days of woody + no dave in a heartbeat.

It depends on the relative quality of PD to Woodruff posts.
PD is still that old dog doing the same old tricks. If he can stop rolling his back into the old, dead topics and instead perform a double forward somersault, then a lack of Woodruff may be worth it.

Where did he post he was leaving?
PD and new tricks? Is that possible? I even mentioned this someone that it would be somewhat tolerable if he could at least make those threads entertaining. Maybe take some out of context quotes from said article and make it actually seem like the TPDS exists and it is a massive conspiracy. But alas, made up references and just claiming that people are of TPDS and what not just don't cut it for me.

PD hasn't had a new trick for years now. Expect more random troll threads defending terrible movies, a smattering of extremist anti-tea party/libertarian schtick, and his usual parodies of whatever crap Phatscotty is peddling of late.
He sent me a PM. He was being nice and stuff, and we had a long, interesting conversation. The first time that has happened, maybe ever?
I have told him to come back before, and I even tell my harshest critic that he should not let Pimpdave drive him from the forum. I even mentioned I was impressed he could apparently put up with ALL my crazy, insane, every name in the book crap, (he responded by admitting I'm not a troll! ♥) but Pimpdave comes back for 48 hours and Woodruff leaves? I think there is a very intersting story out there somewhere

I'd like the mods to ban everyone in here who decided to take the time to berate other members of our community instead of trying to promote unity. I left a touching tribute to the most logical poster in our forums, and you guys come in with this bullshit nonsense. Only fucking idiot shithead can't-read-for-shit ass-licking cunts do that kind of immature fuck-a-mamy. Grow up. Show some respect, like Woodruff would want for his color guard to do.
f*ck. I'm a little emotional. I hate being toyed with. It was like the time that girl on eharmony kept e-mailing me, but even after months wouldn't agree to meet. I got tired of it, and kept wanting to leave the (emotional) relationship with her. And yet, every month or so, one of us would send the other another little love note, to keep the embers alive.
And I know this isn't a Bane caliber speech about hope, but damn. Woody sure knows how to toy with that button on all of us forum-goers.
To use a latin saying, "non omnis moriar," which translates to "not all of me shall die".
Well some did... some did.

By "one of us would send the other another little love note," do you mean "I constantly sent her love letters and pics but to no avail. Unrequited love; forever miserable"?

Yes, but there would be no one left if they did that.
No, Seriously, this type of moderation is the easiest for people to abuse. Moderators would be getting constant messages from people who would claim they are being berated by people whose opinions they disagree with when they are just getting their argument logically kicked in the proverbal bottom. The best form of moderation rules are iron clad ones. Banishment for presistant harrassment (assuming the term is properly defined) is one thing. Trying to banish "berating" is another. You just cannot fairly use moderation rules to "promote unity."

Those are pretty much the only messages I got as a moderator. Just saying.

so is this thread enough proof that everyone hates you and wants you to leave? or is that your goal in the first place?

ok then, well if the mods won't ban everyone who continues to spew hatred, just lock this [edit: derogatory term for homosexual] thread down.
side bet: I get permabanned for another major infraction while thread continues, unchecked and unlocked.
