What do you eat for breakfast?

I wonder what other cultures eat for breakfast. Here in the US we eat a ton of carbohydrates and sugar for breakfast, with a smattering of fatty, salty meat and eggs, as a general rule.

What do they eat in China? I can't imagine eating rice or noodles for breakfast.

In Hawaii, McDonald's served rice with a lot of their breakfasts. Rice and eggs can go well together.

Cool, I usually have tea and something light like toast (carbs) or eggs. Not much of an appetite in the morning. I feel that boxed cold cereal is a pretty popular choice in the US though and from something I read recently your body doesn't even know how to process it properly lol. It's convenient though so us Americans like it. :)
Tbh, noodles or rice for breakfast doesn't sound that bad to me. At least they aren't too heavy. I don't even think they would taste bland since your tastebuds would still be fresh.

In Asia food staples are eaten at any time , so rice, noodles or even curry are eaten as often at breakfast as they are at lunch or dinner. When in rural Thailand I tend to breakfast on fried rice topped with a fried egg , fish sauce being the condiment of choice :D

Most cold cereals sold in the grocery stores here are absolutely overloaded with sugar also.

11g of sugar in a single serving of Frosted Flakes.

My friend and his dad each run a twin Thai restaurant(both owned by his dad) and fish sauce seems to be their condiment of choice as well. Good stuff.

Been had that Sriracha. One can put it on one's eggs too. And toast. And grits.

This morning I had a quick couple pieces of cinnamon toast, but usually I skip breakfast and move all my meals later in the day. Thus Lunch is Breakfast, Dinner is Lunch, and I'll have a small evening snack.

I'm normally in a rush in the morning but just have time to fit a bowl of cereal in.

I personally don't eat breakfast much, but cornettos (italian croissants) and coffee are very popular here in italy

I like oatmeal too from time to time but I read that it has small amounts of asbestos in it. I'm not kidding lol. Just for the record it wasn't enough to scare me off.

Nice, if you're going to eat sugar you may as well go for the gusto!

I usually have my breakfast late so I have something substantial, like tacos and guacamole. If it's a bit earlier I have a shot of tequila or and two enchiladas.

2 Red Delicious apples. Every day. Some days, I also have some peanuts. Depends how I'm feeling.
