Facebook was covered in some witty one-liners from some of my more political friends. I think some of the more clever were:

"In tragic twist of fate, Mitt Romney wasn't able to create a job for himself"
"This election is as about as tight as Romney's smile when he meets a poor person"

And from a more cynical friend:
"All of the drones voted in today's election, it seems. At least Libya gets one day of peace!"

... Congratulations to the Obama team and his supporters here.

... Obviously sad here, being anti-Obama in nearly every regard, but happy that I'll have 4 more years to bitch and moan on this forum. :D

... I was very, very happy to see this didn't turn into a lawyers' rodeo. I fully expected it would.

I saw a cartoon saying:
"Voting for Obama is like backing up the Titanic to hit the iceberg again.
Voting for Romney is like looking around for a new iceberg to hit."

Probably the most accurate analogy put forth. Perhaps Obama won't f*ck up as bad this time around... we'll see.

I kind of like this tweet, which really does point out one of the big problems the GOP had with women voters:

"The Rape guy lost" "Which one?" Your party has serious issues if people have to ask "Which one?" #GOP #itstheTwentyFirstCentury

All three of the rape guys lost. Hopefully the Republicans will pull their heads out of the asses, move back towards the center and not so far to the fringe. We don't need these jackass rape guys running, there are better candidates out there.

Agreed though I don't think their far from the center and on the "fringe". I think they are just fricking idiots. I'm super glad they lost, I'd rather the republicans have a minority in the senate than to have idiots like those guys in there.

My favorite: "If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove that your not a racist, vote for someone else in 2012 to prove your not an idiot" ~ Billboard someplace in the former USA

Another clever one I saw was this: "The female body really does have a way of shutting the whole thing down."

A new Star Wars movie. Odd-even gas rationing. Iran is threatening us, and it’s open season on Americans in the Middle East. The United States has a president who solves all our problems by making them worse.

What’s next, disco?
