For those who aren't in the know, Monty Python and the Holy Grail is, according to the off-tropicers, the greatest comedy of all-time.
We'll do musicals now because seriously, musicals are awesome.
I'm going to increase the number of films to be voted on to 16, but am making an executive order and am making The Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and The Rocky Horror Picture Show already in the finals.
Also, post a god damn song from the musical (remember, you get to nominate one and second one. I don't want to see any idiots nominate four because they're too fucking stupid to read the OP).
Nominated (needs a second): Moulin Rouge Les Miserables Mary Poppins Phantom of the Paradise The Lion King Cannibal! The Musical Voyage of the Rock Aliens Monty Python and the Holy Grail
To be voted on: Wizard of Oz Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Rocky Horror Picture Show Little Shop of Horrors West Side Story Alice in Wonderland The Wall Muppet Treasure Island Tommy Grease Fiddler on the Roof

yes?
As long as it's a film, it is ok.

Ok, in that case West Side Story, no contest.

OMG, the film version of Les Miserables looks awesome! Even casting a dude in his 30s as Marius seems only mildly off-putting.

Since somebody already nominated "West Side Story", I get to agree and choose two others. It's tough to narrow it down so much; there are so many good ones. but I gotta go with Fiddler on the Roof for one:
I'll have to get back on nomination # 2

I'm kinda surprised AoG is a rocky horror fan. But how the hell do you mention rocky horror and not post the sweet transvestite song?
Anyway, I'm gonna work on the assumption that someone else is gonna nominate sweeney todd, so I'll go with:

I'm going to assume that's a second and no, you don't get two nominations. You get one...

Ah, sorry! Just re-read the OP. Read it too fast the first time. OK, "Fiddler" is my nomination and "West Side" is my "second". That works. I'm likely to come back with a post full of "honorable mention"s, though.

Wizard of Oz is pretty good choice. I actually like a fair number of Fred Astaire's musicals.
