Further divide the off topics

All other parts of the forum is well structured, but the off topics is a user hostile mess! Not everyone are interested in discussing politics, and some are only interested in discussing politics, why not make it easier for everyone to find what they're looking for?
I made a suggestion to further divide off topics into "Politics" and "Science and Religion"" here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=184580
I'd like to know what others think of this.

I think it's a good idea considering the proportion of activity this forum gets over the others. 80% of the forums get virtually zero action.

It seems like those who like to talk about politics are not really satisfied with talking about it amongst themselves, they also want to push your views on people who don't give a shit about politics. And that's why you're so annoying, and also why there should be a separate category for politics in particular.

It's more a matter of dividing up a lively forum into segregated bits that will wither away.

But, yeah, we also love hearing people bitch and moan.

Funny, that's all I ever hear you do in your politics threads.

The personal is political. Also, no again.

We need two categories for OT.

One section for the whiners and complainers who want to divide the form, and the other section for everything else.

but then there will be remaining whiners in the whiner subforum who will want the whiner subforum to be divided, and then there will be whiners in the resulting forum, etc. etc. and eventually the entire internet will be wasted on CC subforums

As long as all of this contained within the subforum, "Whiners For Division," then we would have nothing to fear.

I think the fact that natty is gone has just sunk in. He's either lashing out or trying to find a new counterpart.

Make it three sections. One for people who are afraid of change, and two for the rest. 2 > 1, which of course means I win.

Good idea in principle,I would prefer to see Science seperated from Religion, which would be better paired with Mythology and Folklore.

Indeed, but the thing is most talk related to science on this site, is talks about science in relation to religion, either how it is not compatible, or that it is. So the two naturally fit together in our off topics.

This Idea has been brought up before. I for one am against it.
