When I first came here there were a lot of creationists. There doesn't seem to be very many now.

Where did they go?

Did evolution wipe them out?

lmao! Evolution depends on creation. Even Darwin knew this. It never ceases to amaze me how many people think evolution and creation are diametrically opposed. It's far more likely they are both a part of something much bigger.

For what it's worth, it never ceases to amaze me just how far people will go to defend their core beliefs, so just know that in a way you are not alone.

If you look at the order of how things happened in the biblical story and scientific theory, they are actually very similar. I've never really understood why creationism and evolution are always the two ideas which are argued about, the bigger question is creationism versus the big bang.

I think "scientists" back in the day were actually quite advanced and put a lot of sensible ideas into religious texts.

Here's my experience with modern evolutionists. They operate as if evolution is a fact, even going so far as to capitalize it. I call them out on this for acting on the very same faith they mock others for having and being just as fundamentalist as any religious freak when it comes to defending their 'holy scripture' usually by only attacking anyone who doesn't take them balls deep. I believe in 2015, Darwin himself would be laughed out of a discussion by modern evolutionist zealots. And I proved it once. I lifted Darwin's own words as my own for about 30 minutes, I was repeatedly told to cling to my Bible, that I don't know anything about Darwin, and that I donned a sloped forehead. I thereupon told them I only used Darwin's own words, but it did not matter to them one bit. Ya know why? Because of their faith and what they bitterly cling to. The fact that their souls are empty and their spirits are lifeless is the source of their negativity and vicious attacks.

Is it possible there is something out there so unbelievably smarter than us that they were able to create all of this. Humans are only touching the tip of the iceberg. It's silly to think that creation or evolution are the only option. You people act as we have figured it all out. We haven't even discovered all the animals or plants on the earth yet we can definitively say where everything from or they evolved. If evolution is correct why not compress all that has been learned into a 2-3 hour movie showing proven facts of evolution? Not theories. Or if creation is the other option why not compress all that info into a 2-3 hour movie stating proven facts?Neither side can do so. If they could there would be no debate because either side would be able to explain where we came from.

BTW religious books have been written in a way only illuminated minds understanding the esoteric teachings of these religions will truly understand the allegories written in them. There have been plenty of instances where myself and others have showed proof of evolution, incontrovertibly. Whether the creationists choose to acknowledge it is up to them. It does require at least a working familiarity of the basics of genetics and physiology.

So, what evolution are you talking about? Micro or macro? There is a difference. I am a creationist, at the same time I believe in micro evolution not macro evolution.

How could one define "macro evolution" in such a way as to imply that you can believe in "micro evolution" but not "macro evolution?" I contend that this is a logically impossible idea, but give it your best shot I suppose.

your starting sentence is something i've trying to point out for ages, not that i believe in a 7-day creation but its a big but in every conversation of this type.

it's something that it's natural to my thinking. i cannot get pass this point. remember how Men In Black ended? well, that's a good ilustration. what if a being naturally evolved, and then he created the big bang? he being so smart that he could see everything happening.


i mean, i'm tired of all the logic. for instance, i admire how Mets can stick to logic, be ruthless with it, but it annoys me how he cannot see (or doesn't want to) see a bigger picture. I also like the to=the=point comments of tailsmeller, he even recomended me a book that sort of describes or exposes the core of some of the ideas i've been trying to share, he says he likes the book, yet, then he simply dismisses everything in the book, being closed to possibilities.

Needless to say a lot of people are very unhappy as a result.

So from a purely scriptural perspective ... just because "premium" isn't mentioned in the Bible doesn't mean you should not buy another year's worth today!
