The U.S.' good friend Saudi Arabia has developed a fun holiday activity sure to bring cheer during this festive season! The Kingdom will have a marathon run of 50 beheadings in a single day - FUN!!! The people about to get their heads lopped off are all bad people; they criticized the dictator of Saudi Arabia, this guy:




For added holiday cheer, some of the executed - who include juveniles - will also be stripped naked and crucified on wooden crosses in Riyadh - just like JC! Rockefeller Center - eat your heart out!



In response to the news of the 50 beheadings, the U.S. has announced it will immediately give 22,000 bombs to Saudi Arabia to drop on protesters in Yemen.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has threatened to increase sanctions on Russia for keeping 3 members of Pussy Riot in jail for 6 months before releasing them.

...that's tough, but fair.

You obviously haven't read any of my previous posts on the subject. The Saudis are easily among the worst of the bunch. I support expungining the Saud ruling class and restoring the crown of Arabia to the Hashaemites.

The only reason the Saud are still on the throne of Arabia is because of their alliance with the Americans. Today we see that alliance targetted against Russia, which is why I suppose you'd think I'd support it, but I do not. I do not think that good ends (especially trivial good ends, like a very temporary brake on Russia's war-making potential) justify evil means (like keeping the Saudi aberration in power for another 80 years.) And, never forget that it is only very recently that this alliance was used for good purposes. The original purpose of the Saudi-American alliance was to rob the British specifically and Europeans in general of their pre-eminence in the Middle East.

I just assumed you'd support the Sauds given your general adherence to the West is Best approach to geopolitics. Memory banks updated!

Saxi why are you always telling only part of the story? For someone who LIVES under the protection of the stars and stripes, almost every post you make is somehow anti American why? Btw those executions are 50 people convicted of terrorism

OMFG, what do you think of when you think of "terrorist"? To the Saudis whoever takes part in a protest is a "terrorist". Among those 50 executions there are executions for apostasy among other things that ain't got jack squat to do with "terrorism".

Granted, it is Saudi Arabia and things like freedom of religion and free speech don't exist, but you are out of your mind saying "But the people being executed are all terrorists!"

Hey, and guess who else is "living under the protection of the stars and stripes"? The Saudi government who is executing apostates, protesters and anyone else who remote mentions anything negative about the Saudi government. If the US were like Saudi Arabia then anyone who was part of the Tea Party, Black lives matter, the NAACP, hippies, potheads, drinkers of alcohol, atheists, Christians, Occupy Wall Street protesters and such would all be labeled terrorists, rounded up and beheaded, crucified and otherwise executed.

Actually, calling out Saudi Arabia is about as American as one can get.

Who cares? I don't read the guardian but still, who cares? Aren't they a British publication (I honestly am not sure)? I dont' care what they write, or even if it is to hint at "overthrowing the American govt" (I'm not sure how they are trying to accomplish that, you aren't very specific about your allegations). I actually believe in freedom of speech and freedom of speech doesn't exist to protect popular views, it exists to protect the unpopular views.

OMG, I just figured out why Bernie Sanders is so bent out of shape about Saxi in this thread, I still have no clue as to why jgordon is, but whatever.

In the article of the OP some of the soon to be executed are being executed because they took part in the Arab Spring protests that tried to rise up in Saudi Arabia. The same Arab Spring that Mr Obama praised.
In Saudi Arabia the government calls the Arab Spring a bunch of terrorists. Bernie Sanders doesn't say a thing.

Now, just going from the "official" narrative, in Syria Assad started killing his own citizens because they had their Arab Spring moment. So in Saudi Arabia the Arab Spring is a bunch of terrorists, in Syria the Arab Spring is a bunch of spontaneous citizens rising up for greater freedoms from a tyrant.

These two things cannot both be true. Bwahahahaha! Oh the hypocrisy. Using lies to fit narratives always turns out ugly.
