The message is in the form of a testimony, repeated and deepened through the works of a great author.

Wiesel's commitment, which originated in the sufferings of the Jewish people, has been widened to embrace all repressed peoples and races.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee believes that Elie Wiesel, with his message and through his practical work in the cause of peace, is a convincing spokesman for the view of mankind and for the unlimited humanitarianism which are at all times necessary for a lasting and just peace.

He spoke here in Hong Kong a few years ago. I really wish I had heard about it before the event was over. Night remains one of my favorite books.

The problem with Romans is that they cooked everything with fish oil. Every country that currently uses fish oil is a satanic cesspool. The Pax Romana wasn't worth it, IMO.

I do think you should read Night though. You would understand the thread better if you knew about him and his work.

Israel is now treating the Palestinians very much like Hitler treated the Jews. Hitler forced all the Polish Jews into a portion of Warsaw and made it a terrible ghetto. I didn't call you clueless, I asked you to get a clue. I even pointed you in the right direction for getting said clue about Elie Wiesel.

It's a great book- read it and learn something. Don't sit around calling people names for pointing out that it's a good way to know who he is.

It's an amazing book, and well worth a read.

Not really the same thing though is it? You've been posting about how you don't know who Elie Wiesel is, or what he wrote about.

Read Night- you'll get a clue about who he was and what he stood for.

It's not a long book, but it's powerful. I think reading it will answer many of your questions, if you're open to giving it a try.
