Australia has been repeatedly criticised for its tough policy on refugees and asylum seekers.

I think they aren't tough enough. We need to send a message to the billions of ugly people around the world - we're plenty happy with you not living here. Now, go back to your Kalashnikov breakfast.

The bigger issue (for some Aussies) is they come here and expect us to accept their culture rather than assimilate into ours. It has created some pretty hot debate down here.

In saying that, most of my offspring have friends that arrived under this country via refugee status, and I am happy that no racism exists in my household.

Watch the Lord of the Rings- I'm not sure if I understood the films entirely, but it was pretty clear by the end that emigrating from New Zealand was important. Annie Lennox sang a song about it in the credits.

Not liking migrants because of their ethnic background or their religion has always been an issue for some people. That doesn't mean noboby likes people who want to be accepted.

I'd say it's a false dichotomy on TeeGee's part that you're agreeing with. You can keep your culture and assimilate.

You are talking about Muslims or about Westerners... Westerners in the last century prove that they are open for migrants from different ethnic background or religion. The same can not be said for the Muslims. They prove that they are radicals. Even locations which had significant percentage of people from nonMuslim religion are now close to all Muslim locations. Take middle east for example, it had around one quarter nonMuslims a century ago, not it has below 5%.

No, what he said is the same as what I said, nobody likes migrants that want to transform their new homeland into the unsuccessful one that they already left.
If you weren't Islamic radical you would have understand that, but you are, and there are limitations in you understanding. No worry I will help out and tell it in the only language you do understand. Every single Islamist(regarding if he is Symmetric or not) on European soil will be transformed into soup eventually, so you can leave Europe before that happens

They are sold an illusion. Told that Australia is a land of milk and honey where everything is free(welfare state). A lot of the boat migrants are economic refugees. Pakistani teenagers, pretending to be afghani children for example.
