My god! Good job, Russia! Now just scramble something against egypt and they're likely qualified for the next round.
Also looking forward to Morocco-Iran tomorrow. I'm hoping to see two offensive minded teams. Portugal-Spain is most likely just going to be Spain running into a wall over and over again.

Go Morocco!

We have a problem... Saudi Arabia To Increase Oil Prices ā€œ5 Timesā€

Following todayā€™s match with Russia, the King of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, has announced a slight increase in oil prices, starting tomorrow. After losing 5 ā€“ 0 against Russia, Saudi Arabia will increase the price at which they sell oil, 5 times.
ā€œThis is an important decision, especially for those who are making memes about us right now. They are the ones who will feel the pressureā€, said Salman, very angered in a press conference. ā€œWe canā€™t be made fun ofā€, he said.

This decision was made after years of losing X to 0:

1998- France 4-0 Saudi Arabia
2002- Germany 8-0 Saudi Arabia
2002- Ireland 3-0 Saudi Arabia
2006- Ukraine 4-0 Saudi Arabia
and now 2018- Russia 5-0 Saudi Arabia.
Even a little kid knows whats the name of my country... http://youtu.be/XFxjy7f9RpY

So, after rolling a bunch of dice, I determined that Belgium will win.

Sym's tips for making the WC more exciting for non-soccer fans.

1) Open a Spain vs Portugal 2018 highlights vid on youtube.
2) Pause it.
3) Turn the Sound off
4) Open a Carmina Burana O Fortuna vid on youtube, let it play on loop
5) Unpause the Spain vs Portugal thread with O Fortuna playing in the background.

For example- step 1)

and for step 4)

I watched the Denmark/Peru game, only the fourth soccer game I've watched in my life.

Seeing as how Denmark brought about a 33% increase in my lifetime soccer watching, I think they should win.

In parts England played some of the best football seen so far. Just a shame they were playing a Tunisia team who thought they were participating in the WWE Royal Rumble

Drop Raheem Sterling for Rashford and Ashley Young for Danny Rose and I think we'll do very well indeed.

Sterling is a great player and yet always seems to be total garbage when he plays for England. No commitment.

Yep a total headless chicken. Tries way to hard to impress and either ends up on his ass or gives the ball away trying to beat one too many players.

BBC goes into meltdown about Mexico fans homophobic chants, but not a mention of the terrorist taxi attack which injured 8 Mexicans. If you seen what happened you know categorically that this was no accident. Kyrgyzstan Muslim driving taxi!

England look pretty shit. Stones, Henderson and Kane played well the rest were average or below. Send raheem sterling home now, England would be better with 10 men.

England were nowhere near Spain, to be fair. Spain struggled to a point, sure, and played poorly, sure. But when you look at the England side you'll see similar problems except for the winning and not playing poorly parts.
