What luxury is worth it for you? By that I mean 'for what product are you willing to pay more to gain higher quality'. Sometimes the money spent is a waste, but when is it worthwhile?
Even if it's just better socks or whatever.

Tools, it's not a hard rule but generally good stuff is a bit pricey. Cheap low quality tools suck.

Vegetables. And mushrooms. There's no point going to Giant Tiger and getting lettuce that will be bad in two days, when I can go to Zehrs, pay a little more, and get lettuce that will stay good all week.
And you hit the nail on the head with socks. Shitty socks that fall apart are just not worth it.
