I mean, arguably? "Kids eat apples with stickers on" could easily be about "kids are vulnerable to marketing because brains" or "kids are vulnerable to marketing because society." My love for hating on sociology may also have colored my read here, so I'm willing to concede I was wrong because a) I haven't read the papers and b) I absolutely will not be reading the papers.

Not having read the paper either it sounds like it doesn't actually state a reason for those kids' choices other than the presence of the sticker. Given it only focuses on the personal element of the decision-making (is the decision influenced by the child seeing a sticker?) that makes this guy a (quack) psychologist.

I like how many articles Buzzfeed have dedicated to shredding him. I bet he nailed the editor's daughter or something.
