OREGON

Just months after Oregon legalized automobiles, their new tourism ads make it looks like a cross between LOTR and Watership Down.

+1

Do yourselves a favor and visit anywhere else. It'll be more interesting than what Oregon has to offer.

I'd go if I could. I would keep my expectations of it being authentic BBQ low but I bet they would serve up a great tray of meat, http://blog.visitminot.org/2018/02/16/bones-barbecue/

As for Oregon, if you don't know what's great there you probably won't be interested.

I loved my trip to Crater Lake in 1978.

I would have love to be the producer on that album. Every instrument is at max volume for pretty much the entire album. Easiest mix ever.

I like how at the link, visitminot.org, they list four activities you can do in Minot, one of which is to sleep.

When you get older you might enjoy naps. They're pretty good.

I would think there are worse states. Have you been to all of them?

I'm a few short of the grand prix, however, I have spent a fair amount of time in South Dakota and I'd warrant North Dakota is just like South Dakota except spelled differently.

I just drove down the interstate and stopped to sleep at a Wal-Marx parking lot but doubt IcePack's claim ND is the worst. There was a pretty decent thunder storm in the distance but I found the sleep to be satisfactory. I believe the McDonalds had wifi and Dr Pepper too.

North Dakota has always been smaller than South Dakota, but it has been fighting hard to catch up.

https://www.indexmundi.com/facts/united-states/quick-facts/compare/north-dakota.south-dakota
Population, percent change - April 1, 2010 to July 1, 2014 9.9% 4.8%
Population, percent change - April 1, 2010 to July 1, 2013 7.6% 3.8%

In 1880 SD had 100,000 people while ND had only 37,000, but since then the ratio has narrowed to 860,000 vs. 740,000. That's an impressive bit of catching up.

Georgia and Florida are two states that I will never visit again or remotely go near.

Briefly lived in Kansas, Wichita and I enjoyed it surprisingly. Stayed in North Carolina for a few weeks and loved it. If I'm going on a road trip, it'd be there.

I've been to 48 of the 50. The only states I've never been to are Hawaii and Maine.

I can't say there's any state I would never return to. I have either some positive experience or some positive impression of all of them.
