Ok now remember the original letter sent by 12 Labour MP's to Clement Attlee as the empire windrush was about to dock. Why would they have sent that? could it be something to do with the events in the U.S.? Or were these socialists plain racist?

We've seen how the Fabians were already trying to secretly bring in people of colour in early 1948. By now, 3 years after the war Britain was no longer in dire need of labour. The use of foreign POW's, immigration of people escaping the USSR and the demob of British servicemen had helped with the labour shortages in the aftermath of the war.

In fact in a matter of only a couple of years time there would be a shortage of work for the population. No matter, this government was intent on changing Britain into a socialist state forever. They achieved massive steps, the NHS, cradle to grave social security, nationalisation of many industries and of course the British nationality act. All done within 3 years of the end of the war.

From 1948 onwards a steady trickle of boats continued to arrive in Britain. Remember the government putting the arrivals of the first boat up in an air raid shelter in Clapham. The closest jobcentre to this shelter was on cold harbour lane, Brixton. Here the new arrivals could find work or claim unemployment money ( the welfare state was also bourne in 1948). And so the black community started to grow in Brixton.

After a couple of years another community started to grow in Notting hill. This was down to ruthless landlords, people like Peter Rachmann. Who treat these new arrivals like pigs. Forcing them to pay over the odds for inferior living conditions, often men sleeping in rooms with people they had never met, but by now most decent landlords wouldn't let their property to blacks.

With work in short supply by the mid 50s and the continued arrivals, the people were calling for the government to end the open door policy. Groups like the British defence league started up and KBW. Tensions were building and by the late 50s whites had had enough. In Nottingham there was a big gathering of whites who wanted to take matters into their own hands. The next day, 4 days of rioting ( by whites) started in Notting hill, 1958.

And so, the first 10 years of immigration for black people had not gone smoothly, maybe the first 2 or 3 years were ok but as the communities grew and the differences of races became apparent, there was unease.

By 1961 the government caved in and effectively ended black immigration. A new law which stated any new arrivals must have family that were born in Britain was obviously aimed to stop black immigration. The end of the open door policy.

For the life of me I cannot find any proof of black people being invited to work in Britain, during the period 48-62. As most parties are now fully Marxist and the country is basically lead by DEMOS, which in their own words " Britons must modify their views on freedom ", it also seems that we need to modify our grasp of the truth.

Anyway, going back to 1948 and trying to find out who placed the advert in the local Kingston newspaper for cheap travel to Britain and why. We've seen secret letters from Fabian MP's trying to bring in blacks or mulattoes to secretly work in agriculture.

The Fabian society founded the London school of economics. The 3rd and 4th chairman of the LSE were Lord Rosebery and Nathan Rothschilds. Sidney and Beatrice Webb hosted regular dinner parties called the co-efficient club where they would entertain the likes of the Balfours, Rothschilds and many others in stong political, industrial and banking positions.
