It says his ratings went up slightly following the recent spat, and also that that means nothing because literally any leader of any country would see their approval ratings rise when faced with a threat from a different country.

As soon as the tariff fuss has blown over Trudeau's ratings will continue the catastrophic plummet they have been experiencing for months now.

No leader is perfect, and he could certainly have better ratings. I don't agree with all his policies, etc, but he hasn't stooped to Drumpf's tactics.

Not really. It's certainly the best I could say about any world leader. There isn't a single one who isn't a lying, thieving scumbag. Finding oneself led by one of the not-too-horrible scumbags is the best one can hope for.
