In any case isn't it nice that there are people like that Taleban out there, who make sure there is space for women to exist without being constantly subjected to critiques of their waist, face, breasts etc or having to sexualise themselves for men's approval. Iran's really nice and has no Taleban. 10/10 holiday destination, I'd recommend.

Your real barrier is that you're Canadian. It doesn't mean you can't go, just means you'd have to have a guide the entire time you were there. Same goes for UK and US. Irish master race are of course free to roam the country at their leisure.

For my part I'd have really liked to visit Iraq before your friends moved in (c. 2003).
