The United States is up to its usual dirty tricks. There is no evidence of any issues with the Venezuelan election, but the CIA, operating via the U.S. Department of State, is spreading false claims and conspiracy theories about the integrity of the electoral process.

- Maduro won with 51% of the vote which is consistent with pre-election polling that showed him with 58% support.

- The U.S. claims Venezuelan elections are rigged, but conveniently ignores that opposition parties actually won and were seated as the majority party in parliament in 2015 and numerous state elections in Venezuela have consistently been won by opposition figures over the last 20 years. Did the government forget to rig those or something?

The fact is, the U.S. wants Venezuelan petroleum for itself. This is a capitalist coup against people power represented by Maduro. As usual, it will fail.
