As I got older, I started to notice the sacasm and humor that only adults would likely get and appreciate; as I child, they were a funny comment or joke that I did not get.

I believe it was originally called “Space Battleship Yamato” in Japan.

We had a number of awesome anime in the late 70’s/early 80’s. Most were not directly transcribed from their original Japanese sources… in many cases they were modified to fit American sensibilities and schedules.

No, I would rather have you explain Trump's economic policies. That would be FUN!

Tell us how fun it is, when ordinary working class families open up the mail and see thousands of dollars gone from their 401k retirement plans. Or, see prices skyrocket almost overnight when they grocery shop.

How about our farmers who now see their market share disappear.

Wall Street is sure having fun since Trump walked into the White House January 20th.

Recession is heading our way and the Oligarchs will get their over 4 trillion dollar tax cuts.

Trump said, “To the many investors coming into the United States and investing massive amounts of money, my policies will never change. This is a great time to get rich, richer than ever before!!!”

... Anyways, I see no mention of Gargoyles. That was one of my favorite shows, along with DBZ (both still are, TBH).

I used to like Batman, but getting more immersed into the comics, lore, etc, he fell off hard for me. Both main universe comics version, and the DCAU version. Comics, he's a pretentious jerk, emotionally stunted as a brick, writers always make him "right", and a horrific guardian to kids.

DCAU version is fanfiction mary sue/gary stew that was given an animated platform. And is still a pretentious jerk.

Jason Todd though (second Robin, current Red Hood), he became my favorite. Watch Under the Red Hood animated film, its standalone, and one of DC's best animated films.

I was watching the 'Time Team' report on the reconstruction of the Sutton Hoo ship, and it made me remember one of my old History professors (he was a fanatic about Sutton Hoo and practically kidnapped me when I mentioned I'd bought the standard book about it, which was slightly more up-to-date than his copy).
He was a fairly humourless type, but he once said that another professor, who he thought was wrong, was 'two hydes short of a virgate'.
I hope he's still around to see the Time Team thing.

As much as I enjoyed bugs bunny, I got the most enjoyment out of Disney cartoons, specifically the ones with Donald Duck.

Also, the goofy instructional videos with the butler sounding narrator, That are still relatable today.
