Donald Trump has threatened to seize Washington, D.C.!!!
“Washington, D.C., must be safe, clean, and beautiful for all Americans and, importantly, for the world to see,” Trump added. “If D.C. doesn’t get its act together, and quickly, we will have no choice but to take Federal control of the city, and run this City how it should be run!"
Authorities announced the arrest of two teens in connection with the brutal beating of a former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) employee that allegedly took place during an attempted carjacking in the nation’s capital over the weekend.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing, with multiple suspects still outstanding.

The press expressed concern today as President Trump showed up on the roof of the White House. People started screaming "Mr. President, what are you doing up there?" and "Why are you on the roof!?" He tried yelling back but no one could hear him so he made some hand gestures which prompted more confusion. At one point someone thought he said he was trying to place a missile on the roof.
It turns out he was just doing a maintenance check and there was no cause for alarm.

This is difficult when the Hamas leaders put civilians in places to protects its weapons, including its rockets and its means to attack Israel.
Israel (and most nations) use weapons to protects its civilians; Hamas uses its civilians to protects its weapons.
That is one of the fundamental problems with the situation in Gaza.

WASHINGTON - Total violent crime for 2024 in the District of Columbia is down 35% from 2023 and is the lowest it has been in over 30 years, according to data collected by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and announced by United States Attorney Matthew M. Graves. A breakdown of the data is available here.
In addition to the overall violent crime reduction, homicides are down 32%; robberies are down 39%; armed carjackings are down 53%; assaults with a dangerous weapon are down 27% when compared with 2023 levels, with the District reporting the fewest assaults with dangerous weapons and burglaries in over 30 years.
