Roy Hodgson only selected four strikers in his Euro 2012 squad;

Wayne Rooney
Jermain Defoe
Danny Welbeck
Andy Carroll

With Rooney suspended for the first two games and Defoe sent home for family reasons, we're left with only two striking options.

Danny Welbeck's right foot, and his left foot.

I reckon we will go with 5 in midfield,Carroll is not international class, its vital not to lose your first group match.

Haha, hilarious!!

Seriously though, a 4-5-1 is the best option. Put some pacey players out wide to cause havoc going forward, and a power three in the heart of midlfield in front of the defence. Control the game from there, and England will be in with a shout against the frogs. Whoever plays up front will have to put on their big boy pants and step up to the mark.

Young and Carroll will start for England up front. Walcott and Milner on the wings (though knowing Roy he'll probably have Downing on and use Walcott and Wellbeck as super subs)

What a start to the Euros!! Terrible refereeing in the first game. Szczesny fucked up so bad for the equaliser, and made a mess of the penalty, although I don't know if he should have been sent off.

Russia look like a decent side, and as a Scotsman, I hope the Czech's finish bottom of their group... diving bastards.

The fact you supported an English team and have such resentment for the only two good teams in Scotland.

I thought everyone who wasn't a Rangers or Celtic fan in Scotland hated them? Kind of like English fans can't stand the Manchester clubs?

Manchester City aren't disliked by supporters of other clubs anywhere like the same extent as United in my experience.Vast numbers of non Manchester supporters were overjoyed when City won the Premiership, including myself.

Lesser of two evils from what I experienced, I enjoyed it but only because it was at Uniteds expense!

I'm a Scotsman who sees Scottish football for what it is - a disgrace.

We are so far behind the rest of the world in terms of standard, development, and structure, and the only two clubs that are any good are two of the worst teams for sectarianism, hate, violence etc.

I don't hate them as clubs or the players on those teams, I hate what surrounds them, and Scottish football in general. :?

Euro 2012 so far? Cagey.

The "big" teams such as Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, and England only have 5 goals between them.

Two games have stood out - Russia hammering the diving Czechs, and Zlatan/Andriy bringing the competition to life tonight!!
