I guess they all got scared off by the terrifying republican presence. Seeing as im that 0,002% of france that likes the Republicans I decided to risk all and post, but my compatriots I think just skulk around the "Club de Conquête" forum.

Well this Republican says welcome.

Lets be fair, he botched up Iraq, but the bloodshed is simply due to the absence of Saddam's iron hand.

And Bush is moron, yes; but he's too lobotomised to understqnd what he's doing.

Shut up. Constitution 2? Signed away your independance? Please read into European politics and what is actually contained in the Lisbon Treaty before spouting shit.

Oh believe me I have

The 4 essential points remain.

1. Juridic personality for EU
2. Supra)national foreign diplomacy
3. Majority decision (i.e If Germany and England fwant to lead us into a course of action by majority vote in Brussels of foreign nations, the people of France can be trampled on and made to flollow the order
4. Stable EU PResidence (supra-national)

deGAULLE would be turning in his grave...

1) What? Judiciary? Its actually very good, especially the court on human rights. Also, as it represents all of the EU, it makes it easier for European countries to stand together against companies like Microsoft and Boeing. If the countries did it individually, they would be picked apart, or just simply ignored and lose out as a result.

2) Also a good thing. As the EU is represented on the WTO it gives it a much larger bargaining chip, which in turn gives the EU countries more power then if they went individually. As for foreign policy, still down to each individual country.

3) Wrong. 2 of the big 3 alone could not create a majority decision. For most of the laws and regulations it needs majority votes, but for the major decisions like the treaty and others which have a big effect on the organisation and the countries it needs to be passed by all 27 members.

4) Eu President? If thats what your trying to say....he makes the EU more representable on the world stage and should make the EU a bigger diplomatic power, especially in areas like the Middle East, Africa and the Far East. When Europe was represented by individual countries, or possible the G3, they never had as big a voice and were often not even invited to the conferences. As a united EU they will be invited more often and taken more seriously.

well, we went of on a red herring, never mind.....

Titanic : Yes, Im all for Europe to stand together, but not as a judiciary supra-national entity which violates all the principles of sovereignty of a people. The hierarchy in Brussels is anyway a jacobino-socialist centralizing carcran . On top of this is scandalous and flagrant breach of the Constitution. Not only does it sign away France's independance (I wouldn't mind so much otherwise), but it tramples the NO that was voted in 2005 by Dutch and French voters. It is in effect the end of French Democracy and start of Occupation under Totalitarian Brussels

Totalitarian Brussels? Its democracy, and France have the second largest amount of MEP's in the Parliament.

Also, the no vote in 2005 was for the constitution, they just signed the treaty which is totally different. Treaty - around 5,000 words. Constitution - around 16,000 words.
