so me and my friend are both on our high school's bowling team. his parents arent home after school so he comes to my house tues. - thurs. so he can get a ride to practices and matches. whenever i go to his house, i stay where he is and only take food when im asked if i want some food. when hes at my house, he wanders where ever the hell he wants, takes food when he feels like it without even asking, and even goes into oter peoples rooms than my own. also, whenever he came to my house on thursdays this summer when i had my paperroute, he would walk with me and just pick up peoples thing from their yards and start playing with them.

so tell me CC, is this normal or am i just makeing a big deal out of this

That's not right. Talk to your friend about this, tell him that he needs to ask for permission for some things. I have the same problem with friends and a cousin who is just asking to be punched a couple of times.

IMHO it's not really a question of if it's weird or not. It's a question of if it is rude or not. It's bad manners to help yourself to another person's belongings without permission and/or wander another person's house when you are a guest.

I'm curious as to how and why MTG got so informative.

You should shoot him, with what is up to you.

What is this, Ask Amy? If you live in Chciago and get the Trib, you would get that joke.

It really depends on close of friends you are. I would say you should just probably relax a little bit, but possibly ask him to be more polite sometimes.

Id say talk to him. If hes a close friend he should understand that its rude, and an invasion of privacy. If hes not a close friend and he accepts it, fiar enough. If he dusn, its not too great a loss.

Damn Wicked, stole what I was gonna say... :)

But first I'd quit the bowling team so there would be no reason for him to be at your house. But if you are adamant about staying on the team, Id say get in a scuffle with him, he wont forget it then.

My friend does this too, to fix it I just think about how much longer i'll live than him.

I think the best solution to your problem would be to booby-trap various enticing items around your house whenever you know he's coming over. That way when he gets his wander on he'll end up with scorched fingers and missing chunks of hair... he'll soon learn his lesson.

If the picking up other people's stuff thing is worrying you then you should employ a similar tactic. Beware however of setting booby-traps too far in advance, your luck won't hold forever and somebody will end up losing a small dog/child.

Good luck Twiggy, the rest is up to you!
