Democratic primary debate.

Did anyone see this? It looked like a roast of Hillary Clinton. Every candidate was taking turns making fun of her. She did a good job of making herself look dumb too.

Then there was Joe Biden who missed the memo that they were roasting Clinton and started making fun of Guiliani out of nowhere. It was quite bizarre.

All in all Kucinich won the debate and made the most good points.

I'd like to see Kucinich v. Paul debate. The two backrunners duking it out.

Have to agree with you there, though it would be more interesting if it was an MMA match. :D

I heard that Richardson & Kucinich got upset because they're not being taken seriously. I'll wait to see if someone posts it on youtube. It does seem kind of pathetic that they even have these debates when everyone knows Clinton will be the eventual nominee.

Of course now that I've said that she'll go down in flames just like Howard Dean did to Kerry in 2004.

Richardson is also a very good candidate IMO, and Hillary won't be the nominee. The republicans would like to see that though.

We were casting if they were to get people to stand in for them at the debate and this is what we decided.

Richardson=George Lopez
Kucinich=A Leprechaun from Imagination land
Obama=Will Smith
Hillary Clinton=Satan herself.
Dodd=some guy in my neighborhood named Bob Mills.

Kucinich is the only Democrat I hold any semblance of respect for in this election.

Are you kidding me? Hillary is the only chance that the Republicans have of winning in 2008.

True, but it also means she has a VERY slim chance of being Mr. President and Billy boy the 1st Lady.

Wait, Kucinich is the Democratic's resident crazy person? What happened to Gravel? Did he get disappeared by the military-industrial complex?

Did you know Kucinich has Croatian roots. \:D/

The other thing that I admire in Kucinich is that he has a wife that is twice younger than him. \:D/

Go Kucinich! (sorry I can't vote for you in America) :lol: :lol: :lol:

QFT Gravel is much more whacked-out than Kucinich.

I like Gravel and Kucinich equally, the one thing I can say for Kucinich is he is being taken more seriously than Gravel. Gravel says what he thinks though, as opposed to P.R. approved responses(aka cunton)

See what you did there with the Clinton = "Cunton." Classy. I should add that I really like Gravel and Kucinich too (saw Dennis when he dropped by Amherst 3 years ago) but I really wish that the candidates who know they've absolutely no shot at the nomination, or even a veep or cabinet nod (you can add Biden to that list,for sure) would have the dignity to drop out. But since running for president means people need to pay attention to you and put you on television (even if you're Joe Biden) no-shots stay in the race.

Hey Kyle, you will be able to vote by the elections, correct?

Any ideas who you'll vote for?

And what will you register as when you turn 18?

What happens if you hand in an empty voting card? Is it discarded or does it get counted but it doesn't count for anyone?

Jay, I'm afraid you've gotten caught up in the Ron Paul hysteria. I'm assuming you're a conservative. I could show you the differences if you're willing to engage in a discussion on this man. I know you are a well-meaning individual and very passionate with your beliefs.

Voting Ron Paul is wasted on these Dems, Jay. But if Ron Paul gets the Republican nomination, then sure...Vote Ron Paul!!!!

One thing - is there a reason why Paul people feel the need to put big spaces in the middle of their posts? Is there some sort of memo?

Oh, and Jay: no way in hell Paul gets any appreciable number of votes from the Democratic voters in the general election. If you think he's the best Repub candidate, then vote for him. But I'm pretty certain the vast majority of us Democrats are gonna vote for the party nominee.

im surprised no one thought joe biden did that well...I know we have a bit of a constitutionalist flavor going around these boards but still. I caught probably the majority of it and didnt really think Kuicnich was that credible at all, irregardless of the UFO issue. He clearly had one or two points at that was it.

I wasnt particularly impressed with edwards or hillary, i thought obama may have done the best out of the big three.

... Hillary was terrible. The woman dodges questions like... well, like something that dodges stuff really well. :wink:

... When these guys (and lady) dodge a question, it should be a rule that the questioner say in an annoyingly loud voice, "THAT'S NOT AN ANSWER!"

... The Repubs do this, too, of course. Makes me want to punch my TV.

... Hillary dodged the "Drivers Licenses for Illegals" question like it was a rag soaked in the blood of a plague victim and thrown at her... twice!

... And now today she came out and said she supports the idea. Wonder why she couln't say that last night?

... (terrible idea, but that's beside the point).

...

Hillary is not for pulling out of Iraq anymore. (she had to shift to the center) Paul is for immediate withdrawal....trust me democrats would vote for Ron Paul. That's what I like about Ron....he doesn't shift.
