Yeah, both pictures really don't make me hungry for either one, LOL! But I voted Cheezburger 'cause I would rather have one right now.
Don't get me wrong, I love fish and chips too...but since I quit drinking, I hardly ever eat them anymore.
I used to love going to the pub, getting Fish and Chips, put lots of malt vinegar and salt on them (so much that your lips start burning!), and then wash it down with a big fat Guiness...Guiness and this combination went well together. I never drank Guiness on its own, but only with some type of meal.
If you got better pics of either one, post them!

Ever heard of grilled cheese burgers? They are the best there is. That burger (and fish) looks just plain nasty.
But I really can't see the difference between fries and "chips."

They are the same thing , fries = chips, chips = fries. If they were potato chips that would be different

Naming and terminologyPeople from the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and many Commonwealth countries refer to fried, chipped (slab cut) potatoes as "chips", whereas most people from the United States of America and Canada call their common stick-cut fried potatoes "french fries". People from South Africa, specifically, refer to them as "slap chips" — pronounced /slup/. The British usually serve thicker chips than the "french fries" popularised by major multinational American hamburger-chains. Despite the differences in terminology, the combination still has the name "fish and chips" in most American restaurants which serve the dish. The snack that Americans term "potato chips" equates to "crisps" in the UK, and a few American restaurants will offer "crisps" instead of "fries" when a consumer orders "fish and chips".

I am surprised the voting is so close right now.
How's this for a pic of a cheeseburger with frenchfries?
I think this one is grilled...don't you? And a hint of bacon also!
And one little teeny tiny leaf of lettuce on the plate...not the burger! Awesome! Just the way God intended it!

Why even bother with fries/chips thing. They're pretty much the same thing, so you're basically asking if you'd rather eat a hamburger or some fish. Not too tough of a choice for me, I hate seafood of any sort.

No. French fries taste shitty, chips taste divine. Proper chips are pretty much completely different in texture, taste and appearance.

We don't got InN'Out in SouthDakota! But I used to eat there alot in Arizona and Cali...real good burger, I agree! But I didn't like their fries, even though they were cut fresh...just not the same as McDonald's FrenchFries. But even McDonald's FrenchFries aren't as good as they used to be...I think they changed their cooking process. I think Burger Kings fries are better...but Arby's CurlyFries are the all time best, with lots of HorseySauce!
Wendy's fries suck, but they are better if you dunk them in your Chocolate Frosty.
