well there are Austria and Switzerland who are hosting it.

in qualifiers situation looks like this:

Group A
Poland and Portugal (Finland and Serbia are still in race too)

Group B
Italy and France

Group C
Greece and Turkey or Norway (probably Turkey)

Group D
Germany and Czech Republic

Group E
Croatia and England (there's a slight chance for Russia also)

Group F
Sweden and Spain

Group G
Romania and Netherlands

I was so dissapointed with Norway earlier :evil:

Bloody turks! shouldnt even be in the european championships, considering that 97% of turkey is in Asia.

I can see why, because both are weak teams. However, this looks like it will be a good tourney, I can see one of the underdogs, like romania, getting to the semi's. They have always done well when they have gotten to the finals....came 4th in the USA 94 world cup, quater finals in italia 90, not done much since then.

I wouldn't call it a slight chance for Russia. IF croatia wins(which it should) and Russia wins against Andorra(very probable) then Russia will qualify

if u transform this to cultural/"ethnical" groups of Europe you'll get the following result:

Germanic Europe = 31,25 - 50,00 %

Latin Europe = 25,00 - 31,25 %

Slavic Europe = 18,75 - 31,25 %

rest (altaic, helenic...) = 6,25 - 12,50 %

this shows germanic nations are still best at our favorite sport - there is also increase in slavic nations...

yeah, but there are always extra sparks when we play against an ex-Yugoslavia team (anything can happen then - as it did) and also conditions were grave (stadium looked like wild pigs were digging it). you'll have a tough match on your hand but i believe England's motivation for win will be greater and you'll succeed.

i really doubt England will lose. would you sign a draw today Norse if offered? i believe Croatia and England will draw.

this game maybe, if u look at this qualifiers results 2 draws and 1 loss is pretty much the score all teams that are leading the group have - so i wouldn't call that unconvincing, it's the most convincing way we qualified yet (before last round).
Scotland was more "unconvincing" - that loss against Georgia, and inability to overcome Italy, this is they way it's done:
