Manly is in Sydney. You should know that.

Well, it depends on sport you want to support.. NRL, AFL, Soccer (football).. AFL is Sydney.

Manly is just outside of the City, but still in the area named "Sydney"

You could catch a nice ferry to Circular Quay and go under the Harbour Bridge a few times a day - Or you could just not bother.

Well, People like me..ie alpha males need to give you inferior classes a chance.

I adore the general aussie outlook on life. I hope to buy into it, figuratively speaking.

I'll leave pissy-guissy in charge of limp-wristed Britain...although, moutard might have something to say about it.

Rule Britannia! Daz rules the waves, moutard shall make sure we're never slaves!

Pleasent chap tm.

Great news Norse!
I'm glad you're making this dream of yours a reality. Are you set to move on the turn of April? Daz is right though, don't you go getting one of those damn Aussie accents.

Also, say hi to Kylie for me. Or Danni... she'd do.

Manly's a grand place Norse, i stayed for 3 months a while back. perfect beach front and too many pert tanned bottoms to shake a stick at!

Also if you do nip over to the main harbour, go down by the Rocks and look for a magic little pub... i only found it once! i got chatting to the fella behind the bar and he gave me free beer and cointreau for around 12 hours (well it was a tuesday!)

I can't be sure of its name .. the only definitive clue i can venture is its close proximity to a Czechoslovakian haberdashery; i think it was either an old shop-sign or i had moved back in time. As we all know large amounts of alcohol does warp the fabric of space and time... usually shooting you forward in time by a day or 2 i concede.

Einstein theorised that if we travel fast enough forwards, traveling backwards in time would eventually be possible. Only limited by the constriction of volume at such speeds.. i did lose some volume in a hedge at one point, so this is the obvious conclusion.

I looked for the Pub again myself of course but to no avail.. i conceded that it was literally a magic pub; only appearing to those in need .. a little like Mr. Benn's shop of costumery!

good luck on your quest partner,
Keep shouting at the moon and don't trust what it shouts back!

Don't worry, Norse. Plenty of dickheads who live over here who I'm sure you'll have great quality time with.

As for football teams, if your in Manly I dare say you'll end up going for Sydney FC. Keep in mind there is only 8 teams in the A-League (and one of them is from Wellington NZ) - there's only 1 team for each capital city, so it's a pretty easy choice.

If you start following AFL, don't go for the swans (oh wait, why do I care? Yes, go for the Sydney Swans, you'll love them)

Hope you're not here too long!

love-

Jake

Norse and Sydney.

I'd say it's, "a match made in heaven, like a glove, two peas" etc.

I can't imagine you'll want to leave. You should start trying to figure out how to stay right now. It's not like times in the past that you naturally would have been sent there at some point.

Have a good trip.

Always remember, instead of saying "can I have a cup of tea", you now must say "Christ the flies!"
