Part 2: What's your favorite Floyd album?

Hopefully an easier choice now?

I picked The Wall easily, and I'm pretty sure I know which will win but as always, different people (quite understandably) love different albums.

Every album is listed except the soundtrack Music From the Film More, and the 3 albums after Waters watered his ego too much.

Did I ask for the opinion of you or any other non-floydian-fans?

The Wall. Dark Side of the Moon is a close second.

nope, not really. :P Actually it's a little bit easier, but between, Dark Side, Wall, and Animals it's hard to pick. :?

Either Animals, Dark Side or The Wall; it's a very hard choice, they are all quite good.

I voted Animals though because it's the most obscure of my favorites by them.

Hard call between Meddle, DSOTM and The Wall

I learned to love Pink Floyd from watching and listening to The Wall. It'll forever be my personal favorite, though I can see why many would argue for DSOTM. Dark Side holds a record that'll likely never be broken - it spent over 1100 weeks on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart. That's over fourteen years!

Why did you leave Music from More off?

And Final Cut was not so bad.

And Division Bell....that is good too.

I voted for Dark Side though, although I almost picked Wish You Were Here.

I guarantee 90% of those reading this thread didn't even know Floyd HAD albums before DSOTM. Of course the Wall will win because of the age of the voters and it's commercial appeal.

I voted for Meddle with DSOTM as a close second.

(BTW...one of these days...I'm going to cut you into little pieces.)

DSoTM, followed by Wish You Were Here, followed by Animals, followed by AMLOR, followed by The Wall. Haven't listened to most of the rest, unfortunately - is on the list of things to do before I die though.

meh, I've heard some of them and I'm 14 years old. But meh, Meddle, and Unma are good, but I don't know about piper and saucer of secrets, that time I heard them I didn't think much about it, but I should probably get it a re-listen

Another awesome album by The Floyd.

Wish You Were Here is musically better than Dark Side. I usually have to be drunk to listen to Piper and SoS. All their albums have high spots particularly Meddle, but my vote goes to WYWH

Animals, with WYWH and TPATGOD close seconds.
