Christmas booze.

Yup, my favourite pass-time....functional alcoholism.
This christmas, between christmas eve and the 26th, my christmas household (5 of us) smashed our way through:
48 x Cans of lager
3 x Bottle's of rose'
8 x Bottles of Red
3 X Bottles of white
1 x Bottle of port
1 x Bottle of sherry
1 x Bottle of southern comfort
1 x Bottle of Jim Beam
And this was only the "in house" drinking...not including drinks on our visits over the period.
Is this normal?

lets break this down.
per day, per person.
roughly.
3 cans of beer
1/5 bottle of rose
1 bottle red
1/5 bottle white
and i'm going to guess at 1 small glass of the rest.
doesn't seem to bad.

Make that "1 average-large glass of the rest", trev. It is quite a lot, but not enough to be a real problem as long as you don't drink that much every day of the year.

Are you serious? 1 small glass of soco and jim beam is still
several shots. 3 beers is another 3 drinks. And then more than a bottle of wine to top it off?
It's not going to set any world records, but thats a hell of a lot of drinking. I'm impressed that you're still posting

This past week with family and friends in town I have drank more than I normally do in a month. Top it off with getting a kidney infection.
