No, all Ps2 network equipment has been discontinued due to the Ps3. You can contact Sony, they will either tell you they don't have or try and sell you one. If you complain enough they might give you one for free(not likely). You can also check Ebay or craigslist for it(something along those lines).

All you need to do is plug the Ethernet cable from your router or modem into the back of the PS2 and run the online connection-maker disc that comes with the PS2 and you'll be online.

Not all that many games are still played by many people though, I still play Killzone, Socom2 and Black Hawk Down occasionally and there are a few on those but most online PS2 games are dead now.

Get a PS3, then there would be no problem.

i saved up for it. got cold jus waiting for it outside the store. and in cali shit u need a gun when u buy it if not then u better by a spare ps3 incase u get jumped.

If he's got a slim he doesn't need to buy anything. Most PS2 games that work online also have a built-in connection start-up function so he shouldn't need to spend a dollar to get online.

And if he buys a 40 gig PS3 he can't play any PS2 games anyway (no backwards compatibility) so that means your looking at a 60 or 80 gig (500-600 bucks depending), probably a little steep for jake as he's like 14 or something.

wouldnt work. we know the guy that killed my cousin was hired by this Best Friend. we are after the friend the cops got him but kept his mouth shut like the homie he is. but he is now on everyones hate list especially mine. and im still lookin for him. my aunt had to pick my cousin up off the ground with the gun shots still in him. and that is wat pissed me off. but we know where the friend lives but he is never there. good thing we have people that watch him. like his girl.
