So who'd win if they were both in their prime, got into the Octagon, and were just allowed to beat the shit into each other in any way they fancied?

In the red corner: 'Iron' Mike Tyson

In the blue corner: Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee is already dead.

kind of a one-sided fight, in my opinion.

ohh....I dont know if bruce lee's athletic kicks wil;l be able to do much to tysons 4cm thick skull...

Tyson was incredible before Japan. Those punches came so fast the camera could even capture them. All he would need is one solid body or head shot on Lee and it would be over. The extra 100 pounds and the extra helping of crazy-as-bat-shit would give the edge to Iron Mike.

going into the matchup lets look at what we have on both fighters

Tyson: Pretty good footwork, underrated jab with sets up devastatingly powerful combinations. In all likelyhood would be enough to destroy lee if he was able to get inside or at least in range to connect. Decent defensively

Lee: Possess a wider range of attacks than Tyson does, and known to have enough power to knock men down with 6 in punches (at least rumored). Likely to have an agility edge over tyson if not an out and out speed advantage as well.

The Fight: Tyson probably never gets in range to hurt lee, while Lee is able to weaken Iron Mike with a variety of attacks to the legs and midsection.

Very true. Tyson's punches were outrageously powerful and boxers in general are trained to take a lot of damage. Of course it depends on what the rules are. Tyson wouldn't be used to kicks, and if Lee was allowed to go for low blows he could knock his legs out from under him. Would be interesting either way.

This reminds me of the old Fischer vs. Kasparov debates...now there's a match I'd like to see.

well if your looking at it going in....

Fischer for years was able to evade opposition and was tactically brillant. Probably would have been very tough to corner (they made a movie searching for him for crying out loud) and could attack when he felt the need.

Kasparov was on top of his game for much of the time these debates surfaced. Plus being schooled in Mother Russia youd have to assume he probably picked up a few tricks of the trade.

Fight: Tyson would attempt to connect with jabs and hooks, while Lee dodges the higher strikes and goes for quick punches. Would be able to tire Tyson out just by dodging attacks. FInally, he'd come in for a quick takedown and keep knocking Tyson over.

Winner: Lee, by TKO

Batman.
The Joker was Batman's evli nemisis and tehy foughts too many times so now Batman was tired.
"Morning Alfred" he said as he took off his bat suit.
"I made yuo teh eggs." And Bruce Wayne ate the eggs. But too bad becaus Joker knew what Batmans scret idenity was Bruce Wayne and came to combat him.
"No! You can not hurt the master Wayne" said Alferd and he was killed by the Joker's men.
"Good shoot!" shouted Joker at the gun man.
Batman wsa very angary for the kill of hsi frend so he shouted "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and shoot a big fireball like on Dragonball Z.
Joker was exploded over all the place and turned into a ghost. So Batman needed to fight with gohst powars to fight Joker's ghost.
Hsi magic baterang flew and cut Joker head off.
"I safed the day!" Batman shouted..

Later he wsa having sex with Catwoman becuas she was good now. But after tehy wer done she laufhed.
"Hah." seh said "taht was a trick. I am not good lkie I sad. I am alyaws evil!!" and she teird to kill him with a knife.
Batman had too use his refelxes to sotp the knife and kciked her.
Robin ran into to see what was noise and saw that it was naked Catwoman.
"Oh no, is Catwoman"
Catwomna tried now to kill Robin but she msised and Robin pncuhed her to go threw the window and she fel down and died.
"Batamn" Robin said and he was sad "I dont want to fight criem any more. I am tired of kiling." and he left.
"No! Robin!" But it was teh end. Adn he nevr saw Robin afetr that.

The other factor to consider is that Lee was never a professional fighter. His fighting titles include one amateur boxing title that he won before coming to America.

He majored in philosophy and drama at UWash.

His fight scenes were all carefully choreographed so he would not hurt his fellow actors.

All of his martial arts performances were demonstrations. The 1 inch punch, the broken body bag, the punching his fingers through a steel can. All of those were on stage before an audience where he had plenty of time to set everything up just how he needed it to be.

None of that exist in a stage. You are essentially pitting a professional 220 pound fighter against a 160 pound actor. Both are fast, both are tough, but Tyson wins.

There are no rules in a fight to the death, it's just about who can survive. I'd give the edge to Lee. Not only would Tyson not be accustomed to having to guard below the belt but he wouldn't be as used to taking a hit in that area either.

What, so his 10cm skinny feet would hurt mike tysons thick, sturdy, beefy frame?

Mike tyson wouldn't even need to punch him, just lunge at him, grab in, and sit on the fucker.

I could have had Bruce lee, and probably tyson too, I know about these kind of things.

True. In a fight, lower kicks are better, don't need to get up so high and harder to block.
