Take Airborne, which is basically a megadose of vitamins to help your body fight it off. The shit works. If you take it at first sign of a cold, you'll never get a cold. Even if you already have a cold, it'll shorten the length of it. Just make sure to keep taking it until whatever it is is gone. Ever since I started taking it last year, I've never gotten a cold, even though I'm constantly around sick people at work and on the bus.

Any drug store like Walgreens or CVS, or any grocery store. Don't get the generic, pay the extra buck for the real stuff b/c the generic tastes horrible. Not that the Airborne tastes great, but it's a bit better tasting than the generic. I put like 1" of hot water in a glass so it's less to have to drink.

We actually stock Airborne on the snack shelf at work, everyone at work uses it regularly. You really have to be proactive though. I start taking Airborne when anyone in my family gets a cold, or anyone at work starts sniffling. If you wait until you are stuffed up it is ineffective.

Oh, and don't mix it with any carbonated beverages. very big mess.

I dont take chemicals if i dont have to so i tend to just eat fruit (oranges as was mentioned) drinks lots and if my throat becomes sore i drink boiling water with lots of lemon and a tiny bit of honey.

Myth. Gurgling Hydrogen Peroxide on its own will not do anything. It is when it is mixed with water that H2O2 will form oxygen gas which does all your bacteria-killing and disinfecting. It's great for open sores and cuts inside your mouth but I'd be skeptical whether a doctor would recommend it for sore throats. I'm sure it won't hurt but...
