Yes, I do realize that the selection is somewhat lacking. It is for a school project, and I only needed five options and a survey question [I tossed in "other" as an afterthought].

I used to be REALLY scared of curling irons... I guess because I was a little girl when big bangs (fringe? is that what heathens call them?) where very in. My tiny little forehead was scorched again and again. But I got over it. Who uses a curling iron anymore? They're practically nonexistent, and no great threat to me.
Now I'm only afraid of death.

i used to be afraid of heights when i was younger but not anymore, also im slightly claustaphobic.

2. Heights-it took me years just to work up the courage to go more than 5 ft up in a tree.

In no particular order:
some insects (cockroaches and such)
rats
drowning (to this day, I still cannot swim, but I am not afraid of water itself.)
If it counts, put spiders in. I'm not afraid of the little critters, but maybe of a tarantula.

cynophobia, got the word a long time ago when I asked my grade six teacher what the fear of dogs would be in -phobia.
