It is a special event in the football calendar, one which leaves the critics and the pundits forever guessing as to who will win the tournament. Now it's your turn. Who has the best squad, the most in-form players, the best manager, and essentially the best chances?

Italy of course, even though Cannavaro was injured during a training session and will now miss the Euro.

My girlfriend's Spanish so I'll be supporting Spain. On paper they've got one of the strongest squads and with Torres and Fabregas they have two of the greatest players around at present.

Yes, the Germans will prob get slaughtered in the press as usual, not play very well for most of the tournament, then play 3 blinding games on the trot, and win the thing in style. As usual :(

in cassilas they have a world class keeper, then in puyol and pablo they have two immense centre backs. reyes and silva give great speed, fabregas and xavi and iniesta te midield whichever 2 are picked. and villa and torres are the best cf line up in the competition.

as for germany as suggs said, they will bore up to the semi's and then turn up the style

I voted Holland because I'm a fucking retard. We have no chance, but it's nice to be a little optimistic.

holland could but they might not make it through that really tough group of italy, romania and france.

czechs are too old, Rosicky is injured, koller is out and cech makes to many mistakes

Very interesting feedback. What surprises me is that no one has mentioned Portugal. There is no way you can rule them out if Ronaldo turns up the heat. In fact I have money on them to win.

You're bang on the money Suggs. Therefore I started a sweepstake at work (£5 per team, £50 to the winner, £30 to runner up) hoping to grab a team that I could cheer on.

I pulled fucking Poland out of the hat.
Julie got Russia.

And I hope that Ronaldo breaks his fucking neck. WTF is the point of signing a contract to play for a team only to up sticks and leave because Real Madrid offer you 75 tax free millions over 5 years.
That bit of paper was written by a lawyer and is yet worthless. Why bother employing a bloodsucking cunt to draw up the contract if it's breakable?

I'm glad to see the swiss getting beat by the Czech Republic.
Nothing against Switzerland - but the two host nations have got shit football sides and this is the first Euro Since Belgium held it with Holland that, some utter shite got into the competition through being a host nation, at the expense of other more worthy teams that can play a game of football (and - no I don't mean England)
