I should be put to death...

And you should too. Hear me out.
We killed Jesus.
Jesus died for our sins, correct? And we are lowly sinners. We killed Jesus. QED. Jesus' death was a direct response to not only sinners of his day, but us future sinners as well. So what does this mean?
After you get past the first four commandments about not being a dick to god and pretending he's not there, and right after not being a dick to your parents, the sixth commandment (depending on your version) says don't kill people. Biblical punishment for murder? Exile (to where, exactly?) and capital punishment. Yea or nay?

But what if he has sinned in death?

I've never sinned either...
Also, Neoteny I've considered the point your trying to make and decided it's one of the dumber things I've read in a while. Have a good one.

Well now, let's see...
my mother is a virgin
I have a beard
I get around by donkey, mostly
as a keen gardener I bring peas to all mankind
Why yes! I AM the messiah. There's no other explanation. Neoteny, if you want to come and touch the hem of my cloak we can clear this whole mess up.

Go read the Bible. It should clear that up readily.

Come on now. I'm not
worried about it. Though I will definitely help you pass the collection plate.

A. I was not alive when Jesus was killed, thus I played no role in his death and neither did anyone else who is still alive except John McCain.
B. Because I wasn't there, I don't have an inherent "stain on my moral compass or soul" if you will. I am sure, absolutely positive, that somewhere along the line, an ancester of everyone killed somebody. That doesn't mean we all are murderers.
C. Wasn't Jesus killed by Jews? Thus, not really the people the commandments were meant for, making the argument that his killers should die because of the sixth commandment moot.
D. If anything I said about C was wrong, shout at me via the internet.

Jesus died for our sins.
"for" can be a synonym of "because of"
Jesus died because of our sins.
By definition we are all sinners.
Therefore we all killed Jesus.
It all makes perfect sense.

I'm not sure if your last statement was sarcastic but Jesus didn't die because of my sins. I hadn't committed any sins when Jesus died because his death preceded my birth by 1989 years. Are you trying to tell me that Jesus died because of my hypothetical sins?

No.
There is an assumption under there that is not guarenteed correct. Let's change the anaology a bit. A firefighter goes into a burning building to bring out a person alive. In the process he suffers a fatal wound. Did the person kill the firefighter? One could argue no.
Using this analogy the only way Jesus could "save" us was to suffer and die; a choice freely made.
Second analogy assume you have a terrorist. "Give me a nuclear bomb (which could kill millions) or I will shoot this innocent person." If you don't give the terrorist the nuclear bomb and he kills the innocent are you guilty of of killing the innocnt? One could also argue no.
This is the analogy of the angry vengeful god. God punishing his son for the sins of everyone. I reject this idea but it also leads down to a "not guilty" plea.

It was his plan to lay down his life for us. In order for people to be reconciled with God there had to be a sacrifice for our sin.
Capital punishment, "you have have no sin cast the first stone".
To HC, "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God".

See, it's this kind of shit that causes religious discrimination.

That's not discriminatory in any way. I'm just saying that its a different set of rules than what non-Christians would follow. Its like in the United States I don't have to follow laws that exist in countries like Japan, or Saudi Arabia, or France, because I am not Japanese, Saudi, French, etc. I'm not saying that any system of law is better than any other, I'm just saying its different for different people.

No, dude, I mean the 10 commandments are also followed by Jews. Heck, they
made the 10 commandments.

100% correct. I'm not sure how I forgot about that. That's why I should never post stuff on 3 hours sleep. Ironically, the song "Moses" has just started playing on the radio.

Heheh, fair enough, my jaw just dropped when I saw that.

As Jesus died in AD34 if his birth preceeded your birth by 1989 years you must be posting this from the future as your not yet born, man thats neat.
Do I win pedant of the day award and why isn't there a medal for Pedantry Achievement?

No, he was just born in 2023, he could have traveled back and foth in time on numerous occasions since then. And of course he didn't mention if he had any regenerations.
And yes a TARDIS is kind of neat. Did you know the inside is bigger than the outside?
