It's obviously an old video, and while I'm sure he might know a few things about secret elitist organizations, I think he heard some rumors on Capitol Hill and speculated everything that he just said.

Though I ask you, what's your big deal with the NWO if it is being implemented? I mean, it can't be all that bad, and it's certainly not going to a terrible government, or the populace after living for hundreds of years in liberty wouldn't allow it.

He misspoke it was 2008 (if you look in the corner of the screen it says, "CSPAN 2006" so obviously he misspoke. It has been postponed again and starting in 2010 when you renew your drivers license, you will be reuired to go into the DMV and get the new card with the RFID chip in it.

What's wrong with it? What's right with it? It will be complete dictatorship. Zero freedom. You guys really should study Revelation. The powers are evil, not human.

Who says it's going to be an evil dictatorship? Sure if it's truly part of the end times it will be, but what if it's not? What if it's just another shift in the balance of power and instead of having 200 countries, we only have 6 or 7? What's wrong with that. I've personally thought that it would be in the world's best interest if the entire world operated in a kind of federal system like the United States, just with the extra tier of world government?

I don't think much of international conspiracies and overlords owning the world, but RFID chips everywhere on the other hand... those are a real threat to personal freedom and privacy, whether they are intended as such or not.

I'm not disputing his thoughts of this thread (I can't comment on this thread because I've not got speakers on my work computer, so i'll have a look when I get home) it's just his new signature flies in the face of his religious beliefs.

Jay also confuses RFID with Real-ID and "Optional" with "Mandatory".

Real-ID is real. RFID is optional. New York, where Jay lives, is already 100% Real-ID compliant. Thats the huge barcode on the bottom rear of your license jay. OH NO!!!!! (he has yet to comment on this fact in numerous threads). Have you shredded your license yet jay?

The law simply states that states MAY use RFID if they choose, but to date NONE have due to the cost, not only of the tags but of equipping every police officer with readers, every DMV office, etc. You should actually take the time to READ the actual law which you fear so much.

EVEN IF THEY DID, those who know and understand WHAT RFID is and how it works are not terrified. RFID is a short range device. It is not and never has been a "tracking device" that can be watched from secret government satellites.

Your Amoco SpeedPass is RFID. Your New York State Thru-Way EZ-PASS is RFID. The security badge I have to "buzz" me in at work is RFID. I have all three and sleep very well at night. Also, no one has stolen gas from my account or passed through a toll lane on my dime. Do you know why? Because these devices are extremely short ranged.

Backglass, it doesn't have to be long range for identity theft and the like. 20cm is easily enough for that in a crowded place, just walk close to someone and be off, and considering that the range can be up to "a few meters" (Wiki is a little unclear there, but 3 or 4m should be a conservative guesstimate), keeping track of who's in a certain building (like a bank, or a train station) at any given moment should be a breeze.

Then add customer friendliness, yes, you won't need to pay any more, just take the stuff and leave the store, you'll be automatically billed. /sarcasm Of course that data will be handled confidentially by the company. /end sarcasm

I don't believe in lizardmen overlords, but I do believe that any sort of tracking device can pose a serious threat to personal freedoms and the private sphere.
