I was in France once. Went to a restaurant, looked at the menu and ordered a salad after finding nothing edible on the menu. Why I thought the salad would be edible, I don't know. It tasted like I was eating a plate of weeds.

Ah, France.... the museums, the chateaux, the culture, the crepes, the night that a newly-minted 18-year-old Incandenza got so mindblowingly drunk in Nice that he ended up causing substantial damage to his hostel room and inadvertently throwing his shoe out the fifth-floor window.
For cheese-eating surrender monkeys, they sure do have an entertaining country.
