I was using an apple's this lunchtime, but I wonder if there might be a better alternative.

Peaches are no good. They are too short and stumpy.

Apples and Peaches are fruits and don't grow on stalks.

A sugar cane stalk would work.

A t-bone steak.

using one of the pointy leaves from the crown of a pineapple is fairly good, but only for frontal cleaning.

Celery. Just chew it.

Mustard, Why use an Apple stalk? When I can take the entire product of an apple and make cider from it, then to counter your problem, punch your teeth out, thus in answer to this Sir, either my fist, or a pair of DM's, your namesake planted firmly between your incisors.

Mustard, Why use an Apple stalk? When I can take the entire product of an apple and make cider from it, then to counter your problem, punch your teeth out, thus in answer to this Sir, either my fist, or a pair of DM's, your namesake planted firmly between your incisors.
