Ok, people mak fun of Jay for this, so when I bumped into this article I couldn't not read it. And, it's frickin' hilarious. Honestly, I can understand anyones fears of RFID, and I wouldn't let anyone chip me.

"True, Mr. Ulanoff, but your son will benefit from the chip after he leaves the hospital, as will you and your wife. This RFID chip has GPS, a unique identifier, and near-field communication. There's even talk of adding credit card info when he turns 21, so he can shop by waving his arm over the check-out counter."—

No one could ever have an affair again.

It's like with these social networking sites like the MyFace. It makes it more difficult for a true player to carry on with multiple females because they can all log on and see the other chicks a player is messing with.

And what would happen when people start questioning where you go?

"Um, yes, excuse me Mr. Pimpdave, we see that on your trip to Chicago, you went to Cabrini Green. You have no business being there."

"But I was just looking for Candyman."

"You mean buying drugs."

"No, Candyman kills drug dealers I thought."

"You're under arrest for being white in the projects!"

I would only do it if I didn't think that the defender would be able to head them out of play, usually trying to dribble round the last man, or taking an early strike at goal is more effective.

Nay, this is just a "for fun" thread. The article makes me laugh; but I'm not afraid of getting chipped anytime soon. It was just funny how serious he was while writing it. Especially when saying being constantly trackable is a good thing...

But I do realize though that my topics all walk a fine line though don't they? I'm awesome.

What if it becomes mandatory?

This gives credibility to such verses as:

"Without the mark (chip) no one can buy nor sell"

GPS tracking?

"There will be no place to hide"

Honestly Jay I don't think that your scenario is too unbelievable. RFID's are slowly creeping into our society, and people are getting used to them. Many excuses can be made, and claims that they are safe would be easy to make, because we have been chipping pets for years. But knowing how conservative and religious our gun-loving communities really are, I doubt RFIDs could ever go mainstream public for just the reason that you said. They'll consider it "the mark." Though it is something to note that many people have come forward saying that many of our troops are chipped without there knowledge.

Now lets say there is a catastrophe. L.A. gets nuked by a "terrorist" and President Obama tells everyone to "get chipped" so we know where you are. (and to prove that you are not a terrorist)

Do you think if something really bad happened (that they have planned) people will welcome being chipped?

Seriously, put down the LSD and Philip K. Dick novels. Just go outside and get a breath of fresh air.
