currently drinking: balvenie single malt.

rich and smoky speyside number, goes down like a razor blade in a strepsil, like all the best stuff. compensates with a very pleasant woody sweetness and a gentle hangover.

8.5/10

its not bad for a commercial bottle, the 15 year single is a very good whisky actually. chances are you were drinking the 8 blended year at a pub though

Gentleman's Jack is quite good.

I like a mix of jack, bell's and famous grouse.

I also feel that Jack Daniels is the way to go.

Jack Daniels makes a Single Barrel variety in addition it's other lines of fine quality whiskey. While the single barrel is a bit expensive, it is excellent whiskey.

compared to what then pimpdave?

flavoured ethanol? blue wkd? lukewarm budweiser?

finishing off a bottle of highland park right now. Always important to have a bottle of decent whisky somewhere close to hand.

It was a vintage reserve, although the year escapes me.

Special occasions for the win.

blue wkd makes you feel like a 6 year old with them blur raspberry ice lollies, as well as getting mildly pissed. it's great.

What's everyone's favorite bottle of Jack Daniels?

I like to keep a 200 ml bottle on hand for travel purposes.

But generally, I buy the 1.5 liter size bottle. Does anyone else like that one? Or are you more about the 750 ml size?

I'm a 750mL kinda guy...
