Looking at the front page, we've 5 threads made by Juan, all made in the past hour alone. Could he be the new xtratabasco?

I can agree with that, for sure, but he's still making as many, if not more, threads per day than xtra was.

Uh huh... They all followed the same cut and dry formula. Take article (either about 9/11, illegal immigrants or how the powers that be have fucked up), copy, past it, provide link. You're posts aren't all that different... Sure, you have more class than xtra, and you're not illiterate, but ultimately, is your posting style really all that different?

Xtra was a good guy but he never really listened to anyone's counterpoints. Juan is at least willing to admit that he doesn't have all the answers and concedes certain points at times.

I would happily concede that I start five threads a day, but I would not agree that I have the same "style" as Xtra... I don't think that I'm all that comparable.

Hmm - xtratabasco was gone before I got here, so I can't offer an opinion there (though nobody seems to be painting a picture much different to Dm's ).

Juan posts lots of links, some of them dubious, but all worth reading, even if (sometimes) only to refute.
I don't think they folllow any particular theme (except perhaps a general antipathy towards authority and especially its misuse).

I for one say, "All for Juan and Juan for all".

Juan's stuff is merely reminiscent of some of xtra's better moments, I think. But Xtra was a bit of a twat, and DM's analysis is if anything a tad understated, but that's nostalgia for you.

Well whoever he is, I'm glad he's not here anymore.

EDIT: I read some old threads. Yeah, the stuff he was posting, if it was to go up, should have been sent directly to flame wars.
