The Valid Comparison Thread

In this thread, we will make valid comparisons. Since there are numerous other threads in which people are making valid comparisons, such as comparing Obama to Hitler, I thought there should be a thread devoted to such a practice. This is in hopes of helping people understand valid comparisons.
I'll begin.
You see, apples are just like oranges. Both of them have color on the outside of the fruit. Both have seeds inside. Both get eaten. Both grow on trees. Both are used to make juice.
As you can see, apples are the same thing as oranges.

Flies are the same thing as orangutans.
Both have hair, are multi-cellular organisms, and can move about their environment. Therefore, they must be the exact same thing.

Black holes and vacuum cleaners are exactly the same thing. They both try to draw in what ever they can into a central point.

Yellow is just like blue. Neither are red, orange, green, or purple, yet combine some of those and you get yellow and blue. They are the same thing.

Did you know that sports analogies are perfectly valid comparisons to the office? In fact, many offices have sports teams!
Think about it. In an office everyone wears protective gear, or their suits. Plays are often made by going the distance and giving impossible amounts such as anything over 100%. Teamwork is an oft praised ideal.
Therefore, all retired baseball guys open car dealerships for some inconceivable reason.

Please only make valid comparisons in this thread.
For example. Triscuits are the same thing as Shit. Especially when eaten and when being tasted.

(incidentally, I don't know what a triscuit is. Etymologically the word appears to mean something cooked three times,)
