Personal Information

It has been an established rule on this site that using personal information for trolling and flaming is against the rules. Users are always in control of their own off-site information, and no other user is to use that information for their own purposes, which is clearly to instigate chaos in the forums ever since DM was banned. That alone is the definition of trolling from the Forum Guidelines.
Also according to the guidelines, a warning from any mod is the same as a warning from lack himself. Which DOES NOT mean that once a thread is locked for something you can go and post a new thread of the exact same thing.
If a user wishes to post their OWN picture, email, phone number, address, social security number or whatever the heck they want, they can. But posting that information about someone ELSE is not allowed. This site is for users to be anonymous and not to have other people post personal information about them. And getting permission from someone to post information about them is NOT allowed either.
You all have been asking for clearer rules and guidelines to go by, and you WILL be getting them. We moderators have been working on writing and polishing them for several weeks now, and they will be released soon. The new clearer rule regarding personal information was already included in it. It reads:
Moral of the story: Posting personal information is taboo, so stay away from it!

Don't ever post personal information of other users. Anywhere. Ever. Even if they already posted it somewhere else. This includes posting personal information about a CC user on another site, you will be held accountable here.
