I've heard that there's actually some wankers (primarily in Germany and Sweden) who believe it never actually happened - any of you out there? I gotta hear this from the source.

They exist.
Learned it in Yeshiva.
Learning it in public school.
This isn't very new. These guys have been around ever since the end of the holocaust. Hell, they were around while the holocaust was happening. It is the eighth stage of genocide, denial.
Not only in Germany (Sweden? Are you sure?). An example of a holocaust denier is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. President of Iran. Wants to have another Holocaust. Shmuck.
These guys are all over the U.S. too...

I just watched "The Boy In the Striped Pajamas", and the lady who i was watching it with commented on the nazi bastards who deny it ever happened. I know this is old news, but i never actually spoke with anyone who took that stand, so yeah, i guess in a sense i'm fishing, albeit for and not with worms.

Anyone that attempts to even question what is commonly believed about the holocaust is immediately labeled a "holocaust denier".

Here there are some right-wing extremists whose claims vary between that there was no massacre against ethnic and religious minorities by the nazis and that at most a few hundred thousand were killed. Luckily those guys are few and far between, also disorganized and recently involved in some fishy deals.
The general trend away from civil liberties and towards surveillance in all European countries as well as the population's limited possibilities for direct political participation are cause for far greater worry in my opinion.

There's a Catholic bishop somewhere that is a Holocaust denier. Not sure what happened to him; supposedly he was thrown out and then the current pope let him back in.

I've always found it ironic that the people who deny that the holocaust occured are the most in favor of doing similar things in the present.

The irony is even deeper than that. These are the types of people who compare Israel to Nazi Germany.

I've heard from a couple different people that in Sweden the Holocaust is denied more often then not - any Swedes out there that can confirm or refute that?

Ideologically it is not impossible for Israel to share similar stances as Nazi Germany, the fact that the population of one nation is Jewish and the other tried to exterminate it's Jewish popuation does not affect this.
Israel does not and has never sought the extermination of a group of people based on faith or race.

Almost correct, he and his group were thrown out 2 or 3 popes ago because they disagreed with some (a lot of) church dogmas, then the current pope let them back in without them having to say they agree with the dogmas they were thrown out over. And that bishop happened to have made the claim that the holocaust never took place (I'm not sure how often, but it certainly was more than once), also on Swedish television, which brings us back on topic.

I gotta add that Pope Benedict apparently retracted some because apparently, the Bishop did not retract his statemnents. There was a whole thread on this earlier.

If you really are interested, look up some of the racist/antisemitic groups on the internet and either just read or perhaps join in discussion groups.
I have met some. The father of one girl from my history class in high school was a denier. The teacher wound up showing her some photos and gently told her they wer real, that there was too much eye-witness testimonty, but she said her father called them fakes. When the teacher asked her what the justification was for all this fakery, she said it was all part of the "Jewish conspiracy".
My cousins tell me that there are more and more in Europe now, that Nazism is resurging.

I believe Pennsyltucky has the most race-related hate groups in the United States. So proud of my state... so proud.

Are you sure? I thought it was Lousiana per capita and southern California by numbers? That said... I do live here.

Not so much nazism as white supremacy.
And yeah it's rising, bigotry as a whole is rising.
