Animated series by RoosterTeeth, same people who do Red vs Blue. First volume, the episodes are pretty short, but they get longer and longer. Comedy, action, and a lot of heavy drama (the last part was for Volume 3 that just finished). They put up their episodes on youtube or on roosterteeth for free to watch.

Yep.
Also waiting for Funimation to Dub Dragon Ball Super. The sub is, okay. Though Goku, Gohan, and Goten all having the same voice actor can be a little weird. Most other voices are okay. But King Kai's voice, hurts.

Heard only good things about Deadpool so far. Worst I've heard was that it was decent and a lot of people saying they would pay to see it again but have not watched it myself.

So the lady Gaga tribute to Bowie...I don't hate Gaga, in fact, I like more of her songs than I dislike but the David Bowie tribute despite (or possibly because these moments were too brief) a couple brilliant segments, was bad. Gaga seemed to try to do too much of Bowie's career and because of it, did too little to each song to make them what they should have been. Would have been much more interested in seeing her pick two or three songs to tweak into her style (Ziggy as my all time favorite, one other possibly Life on Mars and Space Oddity would be my choices) than what she tried to pull off.

I heard that it's impossible to spoil deadpool, because it's all jokes no plot.

David Bowie was always trying to change his style with every album. The latest album was a goodbye tribute to the world.

True. I saw it Thursday and the plot was pretty streamlined and basic. Never tried to hide the fact either. That said, it was thoroughly enjoyable. Most of the jokes were hilarious (even when slipping into over the top raunchy mode) and the good thing about a streamlined plot? Minimal plot holes. Simple but it works when you like the characters basically with lots of jokes. That and an atypical protagonist really works.

I saw the video in another thread but I didn't want to just resurrect it for little reason...so...am I the only one who thinks the trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence just doesn't look that great?

I thought the same thing with the new(ish) TMNT movie that came out a couple years ago. But people lapped that shit up anyway, even though the turtles got roided out and what not.

Now to not so subtlety change the topic; I recently started reading Percy Jackson and The Olympians. Normally I don't care for the whole 1st person aspect of writing, but I kind of like the dry humor throughout the story so far. Not a complicated book or anything. A rather easy read actually. Even the darker parts, for most stories, are used in the humor.

Michael Bay is pretty maligned by movie critics but keep having people go to the movies be cause cheap action and EXPLOSION!!!! HISHE actually pointed out (and probably weren't the first) how the movie stole a good portion of the plot from Amazing Spiderman.

Several similar channels have pointed it out as well. Replace Spiderman with four things that are supposed to be mutated turtles, replace the lizard with Megatr-I mean Shredder, and you get this.

Still not happy about that origins story. April "saved" the turtles by taking them out of a building and then dumping them down a storm drain. I've seen contrived plots, but that pushes the limit. Also takes away any actual connection to Shredder Splinter had in any previous adaptation.

So thought I'd have some fun with us namInc infamous (ly bad) sequels to great movies. This is opinion based so feel free to list any you think we're bad. If it is a franchise with multiple bad sequels list as many of the sequels as you want but don't do multiple sequels from different franchises. I'll start off with possibly the most infamous sequel of all:

The Godfather pt. 3
