So I was in the car in the middle of the day yesterday, not sure why, but I flipped over to 770 AM. I was feeling tired and needed to stay awake, perhaps that's why, and was counting on one of the idiots there to fill me with enough rage to not doze off.

Instead, I hear Rush Limbaugh tell some story about how he doesn't know how to set an alarm clock (my guess is his fingers are too fat to press the buttons), nor does he know how to request a wake up call from the front desk.

So he tells this story about how he keeps waking up every hour (to pop more oxycontin, I'm guessing), but then he still oversleeps and had to rush (HA!) into the studio and so he didn't have time to get properly outraged over whatever soundbite he was attempting to completely deconstruct. Oh yeah, he also dropped that he was at William Shatner's house for Monday Night Football. Probably all high on hydrocodone or something. All I could think was, "cool story bro".

So my question is, how much time do these blowhards usually spend talking about the consequences of their substance abuse problems?

And how is that better than the snide comments and condescending topics that are always on Air America?

I'm not a regular listener to these shows. However, I have made the following breakdown:

78% - commercials
8% - repetitive critique of news stories of the day
5% - repetitive critique of the liberal media
5% - talking about how great they are
4% - commercials for their own show or a television show of which they are a part

Use to listen to Howard Stern alot when he was in Oregon. Not that he was funny or anything, he just managed to be on a rock station i listen to when i sleep...He was my alarm.

Rush Limbaugh may be an asshole, but he's not a complete moron. I suspect that he's smarter than most. He makes a sh*tload of money for literally sitting on his ass and occasionally talking.

He may be smart at making money and boosting his profile and ego, but seriously, unable to use an alarm clock or figure out how to make a wake up call? Thats some dumb sh*t.

He should probably hire a hooker to blow him awake at 6am,
