The 4th Circus Maximus Cup is here! And we have some changes made to the structure of this tournament.
So, the 16 players will be randomly selected into 4 different groups. The groups will be called "teams". Blue team, Red team, Green team, White/Grey team. The players will fight among themselves in order to represent their teams in the final tournament. Two players from each group advance to the Tournament stage and will represent their team in the knockout rounds. 3rd places can still reach the tournament but have to play an extra game. Whoever wins the knockout rounds wins the cup.
Tournament Structure
- Team Selection: Four players per team. Three 1v1 rounds. 1 point per win. Afterwards a 4-player game is made. Winners get 3 points. If after the games one or more players are still tied, a tiebreaker game will be made. Top two players advance to the Tournament 1st Round and represent their team. 3rd Places don't make their respective team, but are still able to enter the Tournament as a free agent.
- Free Agent Qualify: Blue team 3rd place faces Red team 3rd place. winners advance to the Tournament 1st Round as a free agent. Same for the Green and White/Grey teams.
- Tournament 1st Round: Two 5-player games. Winners advance to the 2nd Round. Losers advance to the Tournament 1st Round Playoff.
- Tournament 1st Round Playoff: Two 4-player games. Winners advance to the 2nd Round.
- Tournament 2nd Round: Two 1v1 games. Winners advance to the Tournament Final.
- Tournament Final: One 1v1 game. Winner is crowned the new Circus Maximus Champion!

2. Number of wins (for example, if one player wins three 1v1 games - 3 points - and another player loses all 1v1 games but wins the 4-player game - also 3 points - the player that has three wins will be placed above the player with only one win)
3. Play an extra tiebreaker game
Players will be randomly seeded in the groups (teams) using http://www.random.org.
