Each group has one three player game still running that needs to finish before we can move on (Group B also has a 2 player game to finish up). ONce those are done we'll move onto the next attack.

i dont want to sound naggy or anything.. but what if we had a rule that if a game lasts more than 2 weeks its a stale mate and the outcome doesnt count for the tournament so we can move on..

its going to take a long while to get this done, but even more with games that never end

I'm more likely to use a round level than a time (week) level but you may be right on that. As I look through the games that have played to date. 6 have gone 20 or more rounds and 2 have passed 25. Thus if we put a 25 round limit in place and reaching 26 makes the game for the defender we'll stop the stalemates. I'm going to give the current game 5 more rounds to finish up but going forward there will be a 25 round limit.

Any chance of making the games foggy? 3 player sunny is a recipe for stalemates in my experience. I know that's how it's set up but I don't see this changing in future games.

I don't feel that changing the rules to fog is reasonable at this point. There are many players out there that really dislike fog and would never have joined a tournament with fog in it and to force them into that position half way through is wrong IMO.

It is true that 3 player games can stalemate-that's true of any setting really, some are more likely than less.

In this tournament so far there have been 20 3 player games. Of those 20, 2 have reached Round 20 (one ended in Round 45 and the other continues in Round 52). Our 2 4 player games also ended in less than 20 rounds.

Have a good vacation. The way it works is that you'll hold the territories until someone attacks them. When they do they'll win them automatically in a walk over. Thus, those who read this thread will have an advantage.
