please put the country names on the map... with multiple countries owned by the same color, It's hard to know which country is the one I want to attack.

Round 4 starting. 8 players left. Map has been updated in op.

Thanks splatsmash I never thought of that. I have added a reference map under the game map to help you pick out what country to want to attack.

When it gets down to the last 2 players, if they are more than 4 countries apart, but then they become 4 countries apart, does the 16 1v1 game series take into place?

Also, smeagal, we need to ally. I noticed you attacked me this round... Not too smart IMO.. Yellow(Adow) and White(splatsplash) are both in the lead!

Here is a clarification of the finals (as your question confused me)

OK...

There are 16 countries on the map, and 2 possible scenarios for the finals.
For the sake of arguing lets say that a players score is equal to the amount of countries he or she currently holds.

Scenario 1-Tournament finals progresses as normal.
Requirements for scenario 1-The finalists scores range from 15-1 to 11-5
Gameplay-Tournament flow stays the same until 1 player holds all 16 countries. If this is not achieved withing 16 rounds a 16 game 1v1 series will take place to determine the winner, regarding of the current score.

Scenario 2-the tournament finals will consist of a 16 game 1v1 series.
Requirements for scenario 2-the finalists scores range from 10-6 to 8-8.
Gameplay-Tournament flow changes and 16 similtaneous 1v1 games are sent out to determine the winner. (bc I allowed free members to play and only asked 2 game spots be open at a time, games will be sent out 2 at a time if needed) To win the 16 game series you must win a number of games equal to your opponents current score, plus 1. (country count)

Ex. Players A and B make it to the finals. Player A holds 10 countries and player B holds 6.
The two players compete in the 16 game series, but player A must only win 7 out of 16 games to be the tournament winner. In this scenario, player B must win 11 out of 16 games to be the tournament winner. If there is a tie (ex. player A wins 6 and player B wins 10)
than 1 more 1v1 game will take place to determine the winner.

I hope that cleared up any confusion there might have been as we get closer to the finals.
Good luck to everyone still in the tournament!

This tournament thread has not been visibly updated in a while. By “visibly updated” I mean that the thread has not been bumped for at least 2 months by posting a new post or reply.

We routinely check the last few pages of the “Ongoing Tournaments” Forum for inactive tournaments. If your tournament thread is on those last pages, we have to check to see if your tournament is still active, which can be quite a lot of work.

Please help us in our quest to find inactive tournaments and update your thread regularly and then also post that you have updated it (if your tournament is still active). This will get the active threads and tournaments bumped to the first page, and significantly lessen our workload of checking for inactive tournaments.

For more information about updating your tournament thread and avoiding your tournament being labeled “inactive”, see also: Keeping Your Tournament Active & Updated

Thank you very much in advance,
